Free charting software for PSX: 7 tools compared

Seven free ways to chart PSX stocks, compared on cost, delay, indicators, Urdu and mobile, with sources checked 18 Oct 2026. No tool is named best.

No single free charting software is the best for PSX (PSX ke liye free charting software); the right one depends on your criteria. As checked on 18 October 2026, seven free options exist. TradingView’s free Basic plan shows PSX with a 15-minute delay and allows 2 indicators per chart. The PSX data portal offers range buttons from 1D to 5Y. KTrade and AKD TradePro are free apps from two brokers. FinHisaab and Investing.com list charts, but both blocked our automated check. SuperX Charts at superx.pk/terminal is free with no account, and has 90 indicators and 72 drawing tools. Below, each tool is compared on facts, and every gap is marked.

How were these free PSX chart tools checked?

Each fact comes from the tool’s own page, named in the text, read on 18 October 2026. Where a page refused our request, the cell says so and uses only what its search listing shows. “Not verified” means we could not read an answer. We did not run speed tests, so no tool is called faster, more accurate or better.

The criteria are the ones a Pakistani retail investor tends to ask about: what it costs, whether an account is needed, how delayed the PSX prices are, how many indicators and drawing tools it has, whether the exchange’s own events appear on the chart, whether it works in Urdu, and whether it works on a phone. SuperX is the product behind this site, so read its row with that in mind. Its figures come from its own capability notes, which are public in the user guide.

What do the free PSX charting tools offer side by side?

What does TradingView’s free plan give for PSX?

TradingView’s data coverage page lists PSX with delayed data at 15 minutes and a real-time fee of $3.00 per month. Its pricing page lists the free Basic plan at $0 with 2 indicators per chart, 1 chart per tab and 3 price alerts. Essential is $12.95 a month with annual billing, with 5 indicators and 2 charts. Its features page lists “400+ built-in indicators and strategies”, “110+ smart drawing tools” and mobile apps.

TradingView is the stronger choice if you follow more than PSX, because its coverage page lists many exchanges. It also has Pine Script and a large community. The full comparison, with where each tool is stronger, is in TradingView vs SuperX Charts for PSX stocks.

What do the PSX data portal and broker apps offer?

The exchange’s own portal, dps.psx.com.pk, opens a company page without a login. Its price chart has seven range buttons: 1D, 1M, 6M, YTD, 1Y, 3Y and 5Y. We found no indicator or drawing controls in the page itself, but the chart is drawn by a script, so the live page may offer more than we could read. The portal’s terms say PSX and CS Solutions “do not guarantee the timeliness, accurateness, or completeness of any data”. That is a reason to compare any chart with the portal’s company page for the same day.

Broker apps are made to place orders. The KTrade listing lists real-time stock prices and market data, portfolio tools, a virtual trading account and a research portal. The AKD TradePro listing calls it a mobile trading terminal for AKD Securities clients. Neither listing mentions charts, indicators or drawing tools, so this post makes no claim about them. Open the app and look.

What about FinHisaab and Investing.com?

Both sites refused our automated requests on 18 October 2026: FinHisaab with HTTP 429 and Investing.com with HTTP 403. What follows comes from their search listings, not from pages we read, so check them yourself.

FinHisaab’s charting page is described in search as a full-screen workspace with candlesticks, technical indicators, drawing tools, and trendlines and support and resistance levels. A FinHisaab blog post is described as adding TradingView charts to stock pages, with 15-minute, 30-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour, daily and weekly timeframes. If that is right, its delay and indicator limits may follow TradingView’s terms. We did not verify that.

Investing.com’s Karachi 100 advanced chart is described in search as a free live chart with studies such as RSI, MACD, EMA, Bollinger Bands and Fibonacci retracements. That listing is for the index. Whether single PSX stocks have the same chart, and with what delay, is not verified.

What does SuperX Charts offer for PSX?

SuperX Charts is a PSX-only charting terminal. It is free, needs no account and works in a browser. Its notes list 19 chart types, 90 indicators, 72 drawing tools, replay, alerts, comparison of up to five symbols and layouts of up to eight charts. It marks the exchange’s events on the bars: D for an ex-dividend date, B for a book closure, bonus, rights or split, R for a results filing, E for a notice and M for a move of 3% or more. A record shows only from the day it was known.

It adjusts daily prices for bonus shares, rights and splits, but not for cash dividends, and a switch shows the exchange’s own prices. Its axis and crosshair always read Asia/Karachi time. Where it is weaker: it covers PSX only, has no native phone app, has no trading buttons and keeps your drawings on the device, not in an account. It does not claim a measured delay. Coming from TradingView maps the keys and menus.

You can open a share page for any symbol. The MCB page read Rs 374.53 on 16 October 2026, the DGKC page read Rs 182.00 and the OGDC page read Rs 299.10.

Which criteria matter most for PSX charts?

Four matter more on PSX than on a global chart, and a test is possible for each.

  1. Adjustment for bonus shares. After a 30% bonus the price falls by about 23% (1 divided by 1.3) without any loss. A chart that does not adjust draws that as a crash, and every moving average after it is wrong. The mechanics are in bonus shares on PSX.
  2. Price limits. A close at the exchange’s limit means something different from a normal close. Circuit breakers and locks explains the rule.
  3. Time and session. PSX has one session and a Friday break. Trading hours and holidays lists the schedule. A chart that shows your phone’s clock shows the wrong bar time abroad.
  4. Delay. An end-of-day study does not care about 15 minutes. An intraday one does.

For the index, the KSE-100 page here shows constituents and weights, and the chart pages here plot daily closes for every listed symbol, up to five series at once.

Which free tool fits which need?

The reader picks by criteria. These pairings come only from the facts above.

  • You follow many markets: TradingView’s coverage page lists many exchanges. SuperX Charts covers PSX only.
  • You want to compare against the exchange’s own figures: the PSX data portal.
  • You want to place orders from the screen: your broker’s app. SuperX Charts has no trading buttons.
  • You want exchange events and adjusted history on the bars, no account and Roman Urdu or Urdu: SuperX Charts is built for that and the others are not verified.
  • You need Pine Script: TradingView. Pine scripts do not run in SuperX Charts.
  • You want drawings on every device through an account: TradingView. SuperX Charts keeps them on the device with a file export.

How can you test any of them in ten minutes?

Use the same stock in each tool.

  1. Open OGDC. Check that the last close matches the PSX portal for the same date.
  2. Look for a mark on 8 October 2026, the ex-dividend date of its Rs 6 payout (snapshot as of 9 October 2026).
  3. Add three indicators and see where the free limit stops you.
  4. Draw a horizontal line and set an alert on it.
  5. Open the same chart on your phone.

In SuperX Charts, open OGDC on a one-year daily chart, and the guide to getting started shows each step.

What could not be checked?

  • Everything about FinHisaab’s charts and Investing.com’s PSX stock charts, because both sites blocked our requests.
  • Whether TradingView draws PSX events, how it adjusts PSX history, and whether it works in Urdu.
  • The PSX portal’s delay, and any controls its script adds after load.
  • Charts, indicators and drawing tools in the KTrade and AKD TradePro apps.
  • A speed or delay measurement for SuperX Charts. None was made.
